Engaging People of all Ages
Pews News
“Pews News” is the name of our church’s monthly newsletter produced by the church office administrator, and delivered by email, or by hand, to the members of the congregation.
The newsletter is to keep our members updated on events and happenings within the church, as submitted by the different groups and committees of Trinity U.C.
Upcoming Events
Here you can keep track of events like club meetings, study group times, and upcoming Holidays/events at the church.
Therefore, since through God’s mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart.

Ecumenical Good Friday Service
Good Friday Service for Trinity_Listowel and Atwood United Churches.
Simple Suppers
Simple suppers -- The early disciples often gathered around a table to share a meal and the joys and challenges of life. This Lent join us for Sunday supper in the parlour at 6 p.m. each week (February 18 to March 24). We will enjoy a simple meal together (soup, chili, a casserole, etc.) and share in conversation about life including a conversation prompt or two based on our weekly lenten theme "Have a Beautiful, Terrible Lent!" before concluding with a blessing for the week. Everyone welcome. Come once, come every week. Please RSVP to Cathy Lago at cell-519-492-1977 or email: cmlago@rogers.com by noon on Sunday so we know how many to set up for and prepare food for each week. If you are able to host one Sunday, please add your name to the sign up sheet in the parlour kitchen.
Weekly Study Group for Lent
Weekly Study Group for Lent - Join us on Friday mornings at 10 a.m.
beginning on Friday, February 23 to dig deeper into our Lenten theme "Have a Beautiful, Terrible Lent!" The first meeting will be at Atwood United Church (131 John St., Atwood) and the group will decide where to meet after that. This is a study designed by Kate Bowler and her team at Everything Happens and is an honest and real reflection on what it means to follow Jesus through the ups and downs of our day.
Lent is a great time to look not just at the picture-perfect parts of our lives but also at the parts that can be difficult or painful too.
You may wish to order a copy of Kate Bowler's new book "Have a Beautiful, Terrible Day" from your favourite book store and follow along with the daily reflections starting on Ash Wednesday, February 14. While it is not essential to read the book to participate in the study, it will deepen your experience. You may also wish to sign up for daily Lent prompts at https://katebowler.com/seasonal_devotional/have-a-beautiful-terrible-lent/.
If you have questions or want to sign up, please contact the church office at 519-291-3460 or trinityunited@wightman.ca

Join us at 11:00 am for our service
Being Good Neighbours
Learn about Eritrea and the Orthodox Faith. Presenters: Helen and Tess
In a world where suspicion, fear and sometimes even hate seem to be growing, our Christian response needs to be to embrace love ever more fully. Jesus asked his followers to embrace love of neighbour as a core expression of their faith. Yet, in order to do that well, we need to know something about our neighbours. So, Trinity is launching the "good neighbours" series to help us learn more about one another. Our first event will feature Helen and Tess telling us about their Eritrean culture and their Orthodox faith. Everyone is welcome! Invite your friends. We look forward to learning more about our neighbours.
